First introduced in January 2002, the Erato was the first DVD-A/V product from Muse Electronics. Now called Erato II (with a 24 bit sign magnitude 192 kS/s converter) the Erato II is capable of supporting numerous formats and configurations. Like its sibling the Polyhymnia, the Erato II offers a level of fit and finish that place it in the class of the extreme elite. In its transport configuration, the Erato II supports 2 / 4 / 5.x / 6 & 7.x channel formats via either its MAP-Link or bitstream interface. Capable of being configured based upon the actual loudspeaker configuration in use, the Erato is able to support any number of loudspeaker channels. When configured as a player, both two channel and multi-channel material is properly routed to a stereo pair. On board 24 bit multi-bit converters configured in the now famous highly differential - instrumentation amplifier topology, makes the Erato II player the highest performance CD/DVD-A/V player available anywhere. For the first time ever, 24 bit - 192kS/s recordings are available in their full glory. For those individuals that insist on the best that life has to offer, the Erato II Player is the only choice. Come with either Remote-1 or Remote-2.
